Electoins in the U.S.

Elections take place every even numbered year for most of Feral and Government offices. However some local and states have their elections on odd numbered years. Every four years American votes for a President and Vice President of the United States. Every two years the Americans elect the 435 member of the House of Representatives, and about 100 members of the U.S. senate. The senators serve in terms of six years each person. The people of America rely on the U.S. senate and the government. There are two types of elections, the primary and the general. The primary are held before the general elections to pick the candidates for the general elections to follow. In America elections are not just about selecting people to run our country. So much has to go into elections in order to make every thing work out the way everyone expects it to. The people that are being elected have to put pretty much everything that they have into what they think is right and they have to make sure to let the voters know that they know that they are doing the right thing for our country.

Roles of the parties:
The founding fathers of America ratifies the United States constitution in 1787. They did not even think about the political parties or how everything was going to be for the political aspect of the nation. They were trying to figure out what they wanted for the Legislative, Judicial, executive branches of the government. They did so by federalism; and by indirect election of the president by an Electoral College. In 1800 the United States became the first nation to develop political parties and that was organized on a national aspect to pass on the executive power from on faction to another. The development of the political parties helped the broadening on voters rights. Back in the day on wealthy males could vote and now it has changed dramatically, because now both men and women once they turn the age of 18 they have the right to vote. There were the changes because in the 19 century there was immigration and the growth of cites to force the ability to vote to be put upon every American once they turn 18 years of age. The democratic and Republican parties are the two major parties that dominate America's government at the national, state, and local levels.
